Bali Horseback Riding Experience

Umalas Stables is the most comprehensive riding facility on the island. 30 horses are stabled at Umalas: thoroughbreds, warm-bloods, and thoroughbred crosses, as well as ponies of different breeds. Most of the horses are imported from Australia, Europe and New Zealand, providing a good selection of temperaments, energies and sizes to suit the varied needs of riders.

High quality English tack ensures safety and comfort for each ride. Qualified European and local instructors teach beginners courses through to advanced dressage and even show jumping disciplines in the covered riding hall and outdoor arena.

Umalas Equestrian Resort offers riding tuition for children and adults alike. Guests can enjoy rides along Bali's wide sandy beaches and through the lush rice terraces of local villages. Children and beginners can also experience rice field and beach tours, accompanied by their own personal guide.
